BOOKING AND POLICIES
-
Check-in at The Stranger Lodge is at 3pm and check-out is at 11am. When you book directly with us, early check-in and late check-out are complimentary whenever the schedule allows, so you can start your trip sooner or stretch the last morning a little longer.
-
Yes! Yes! 1000 time YES! Booking directly at thestrangerlodge.com gets you complimentary early check-in and late check-out when available, and it means your money goes straight to an independent, woman-owned motel instead of a booking site’s commission. Free upgrades? Special Extras? Personal experience? YES YES YES. If anything about your stay needs adjusting, you’re also dealing with us from the start.
-
The Stranger Lodge doesn’t accept cash for reservations. You’ll need a card to book and secure your stay.
-
You can cancel for a full refund at The Stranger Lodge up to 48 hours before check-in, which means before 3pm two days ahead of your arrival. Inside that window, you’ll receive a 50% refund, less a $35 processing fee. Cancellations after 3pm on your arrival day, no-shows and same-day bookings made after 3pm aren’t refundable. Plans change, and if something serious comes up, email info@thestrangerlodge.com and we’ll look at what we can do.
-
Yes. During the Sisters Rodeo, the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show and the Sisters Folk Festival, The Stranger Lodge fills up early and late openings are hard to rebook, so the policy works a little differently. A 30% non-refundable deposit is charged when you book, and another 30% is charged automatically 30 days before arrival, at which point 60% of your stay is non-refundable. The remaining 40% follows our standard 48-hour cancellation policy.
-
Reservations made through Booking.com, Expedia or another booking site follow that site’s cancellation policy, and any cancellation or change needs to go through the platform directly. The Stranger Lodge can’t override a third-party policy, which is one more reason booking directly at thestrangerlodge.com tends to make life easier.
-
Check-in at The Stranger Lodge is completely contactless. Before you arrive, we’ll text you your room code and everything else you need to know, so you can head straight to your room any time after 3pm.
-
The Stranger Lodge doesn’t have a front desk, but a staff member is often on-site and you can text us during your stay. Most of what guests need is already waiting in the RESUPPLY room, which is stocked with the essentials you might have forgotten at home.
-
Kids are welcome at The Stranger Lodge and many rooms are designed for a separation of kids and parents for those early bedtimes. You can also request a pack and play when available.
Any guest making a reservation must be at least 21 years old. -
