Stranger in Residence

Three times a year, The Stranger will open it’s doors to support someone in the creative community.

The Stranger in Residence is a free artist residency for one creator per session, offered in January, February, and December. Artists will get 2 weeks of private lodging in Sisters, a dedicated studio space, and a fortnight of quiet to support a project, idea, or creative concept.

We're open to artists working in any discipline. Visual arts, writing, music, craft, experimental work. If you make things and you're looking for the time and space to make more of them, we'd love to hear from you.

Applications will open this July.
